　ゴシック・タロットを作っている“ジョゼフ・ヴァーゴ”が結成したユニット“Nox Arcana”による4thアルバム。題名通り「トランシルヴァニア」がテーマ。歌は無し。
　ブラム・ストーカーの『吸血鬼ドラキュラ』にインスパイアされて作った……って、インスパイアって懐かしい単語ですな。
　ジョゼフ・ヴァーゴは『Vampyre:Symphonies from the Crypt』を出しているMidnight Syndicateもプロデュースしている人です。
　『Vampyre:Symphonies from the Crypt』と『Transylvania』の違いは、こちらは結構な頻度で人の囁き声や語りが入っているところかな。
　目指す方向は一緒で、吸血鬼映画のサウンド・トラックって感じ。とは言っても最近のアクション映画ではなくて、古い怪奇映画の方のイメージで。
　暗い小説読む時とか、TRPGやる時とか、BGMにしたら雰囲気出るかも。
　と、以前書いた感想をそのまま引っ張ってくる手抜き。
　声が入っている分ホラーっぽさが増しているかも。好みの問題かもしれませんが。

　価格は輸入版なので上下すると思います。とりあえず2006年05月の時点で1800～2600円くらいですね、ネットショップだと。
